- Shooting one of these will deactivate at
- least one laser fence somewhere on the level.

- These fences are totally resilient to your
- weaponry and can be deactivated only by
- shooting its specific (colour coded) generator !

- TELEPORTER
- When stepped on, this device will teleport
- your RAT to a new position somewhere else
- within the level. The new position is constant
- for each teleporter, so providing a means of
- getting around quickly !

- BIOPLASMA GENERATOR
- These units contain vital bio-chemical compounds
- essential for BioMek breeding. When destroyed, the
- contents spew out and spread over the ground. It is
- essential to destroy all of this plasma to stop it
- blocking your path later when you may be in a hurry!

- PRESSURE PAD
- This is a pressure pad. It usually operates an elevator
- to be found elsewhere whithin the level. The colour of
- the pads is relevant. In this case, red means that an
- elevator somewhere will be LOWERED !

- PRESSURE PAD
- Another one. This time, the blue colouring means that
- an elevator somewhere will be RAISED !

- Scattered around certain levels are pools of deadly
- toxic waste. Your RAT may pass across this, but
- suffers damage due to corrosion. Do not stand in it
- for too long !

- Yet another one. This time, the green colouring means that
- multiple elevators will we RAISED or LOWERED !

- Some pressure pads are not marked, and usually activate
- elevators that in some way reveal bonuses of some kind.
- They may not be as obvious as in this training level, so
- a bit of exploration may be called for !

- Find your way to the extraction point (marked by a beacon).
- Hint: Pass under this archway, then use a teleporter !

- Some wall sections can be knocked out given sufficient
- firepower. During the game you will have to find some of
- these to progress through missions, and at other times
- these walls will simply lead to shortcuts or bonuses. No
- clues are given as to their location, except a slight

- POWER-UPS
- Scattered over the levels are power-up icons. These can
- be collected by running over them with a RAT. Their
- effects are immediate and fall into four categories:

- Speed: Provides a limited higher speed for the RAT
- Energy: Tops up the energy bar for the RAT
- Shield: Provides a limited shield capability
- Bonus: This generates a score or cash bonus
- Chaos: A few seconds of awesome firepower

- Congratulations, just shoot the radar tower to the right
- and step on the red pad. This will call your extraction
- craft and end the mission.
- On the later levels, you will be playing with more than
- one RAT on your team. All RATs need to be extracted
- by reaching the beacon, which is activated by the first.
- You will not have long to get the others to it, so try
- to finish mission objectives before putting one RAT
- on the extraction point !
