  5. ATnotes is a FREEWARE program which creates Post-it like notes on the Windows
  6. desktop. The user interface is provided through an icon in the taskbar and
  7. supports english and german language, which is set automatically according
  8. to the system default language.
  9.  
  10. You are allowed to use and distribute ATnotes for free, but you are NOT allowed
  11. to sell ATnotes for profit. You are using ATnotes at your own risk, no
  12. responsibility is taken for damages to your computer system. However i've not
  13. heard of any problems yet. :-)

  31. Requirements
  32. ------------
  33. ATnotes runs on Windows 95/98/NT4 and requires COMCTL32.DLL version 4.71 or higher.
  34. This file is installed by many Microsoft products like Internet Explorer. If you
  35. don't have this file in your Windows/System directory in the required version, you
  36. can download it at http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q186/1/76.asp

  38. Install
  39. -------
  40. Install ATnotes using Setup ATNSETUP.EXE
  41.     * Start the Setup ATNSETUP.EXE and follow the instructions.
  42. Install ATnotes without Setup using ATNOTES.ZIP
  43.     * Copy the program file ATNOTES.EXE to the desired location.
  44.     * Add a shortcut to ATNOTES.EXE to the Startup group of your Start menu,
  45.       if you want ATnotes to be started automatically every time you start
  46.       your computer.

  48. Uninstall
  49. ---------
  50. If ATnotes has been installed using Setup ATNSETUP.EXE
  51.     * Open Control Panel / Software, select ATnotes and click on "Add/Remove".
  52. If ATnotes has been installed without Setup using ATNOTES.ZIP
  53.     * Delete the executable file ATNOTES.EXE and the data file ATNOTES.DAT using the
  54.       Windows Explorer.
  55.     * Delete the Registry Key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ascher\ATnotes using the
  56.       Registry Editor (REGEDIT.EXE).

  58. Usage
  59. -----
  60. Right click on the icon in the taskbar to open the main menu and on a note to
  61. open the note menu. To add a new note select "New Note" from the main menu or
  62. double click on the taskbar icon. To edit an existing note choose "Edit" from
  63. the note menu or double click on the note. When entering text in a note use the
  64. ENTER key for a new line, CTRL+ENTER (or a click outside the note) to save the
  65. note and ESC to cancel. To delete a note select "Delete" from the note menu.
