  5. Thank you for installing POP3 Scan Mailbox.

  7. Please note that Windows Help is not supplied with this version
  8. but is expected to be available soon from the following Web

  25. This mailing list is moderated and very low volume.  It is used
  26. only as a means of advising users about new versions of the
  27. program.

  29. Please see the supplied User Guide, accessible from the 'Help'
  30. menu in the program, for information about using Scan Mailbox.

  32. This program is available in both a 32-bit version for Windows
  33. 95, 98 and NT and a 16-bit version for Windows 3.x
  34.  
  35. Scan Mailbox V1.0 is supplied in four versions:
  36.  
  37. A 32-bit version for Windows 95, 98 and NT:
  38.  
  39. smb3201.zip    This is a full version of Scan Mailbox with an
  40.                InstallShield installation program.
  41.  
  42. smb3201u.zip   This is an update to Scan Mailbox for those who
  43.                already have Scan Mailbox version 0.75 or later
  44.                installed.
  45.  
  46. A 16-bit version for Windows 3.x:
  47.  
  48. smb1601.zip    This is a full version of Scan Mailbox which
  49.                requires manual installation.  An automatic
  50.                installation routine is not available for
  51.                Windows 3.x
  52.  
  53. smb1601u.zip   This is an update to Scan Mailbox for those who
  54.                already have Scan Mailbox version 0.75 or later
  55.                installed.
  56.  
  57. You have downloaded the full Windows 95/98/NT version in the
  58. distribution file smb3201.zip.  This should have been unzipped
  59. into a temporary directory.
  60.  
  61. The installation procedure is as follows:
  62.  
  63. 1.  Close down all Windows programs.
  64.  
  65. 2.  Find the file setup.exe in the temporary directory using
  66.     Windows Explorer and double-click on it.
  67.  
  68.     The InstallShield installation program will guide you
  69.     through the installation process.
  70.  
  71. 3.  If you don't already have the Microsoft vb40032.dll file
  72.     in your c:\windows\system directory, download this file
  73.     separately from one of the following Web sites:

  76.           http://www.kempston.demon.co.uk/smb/
  77.  
  78.     as vb40032.zip, unzip it and copy vb40032.dll into
  79.     c:\windows\system.
  80.  
  81. 4.  Save the smb3201.zip distribution file elsewhere in case
  82.     you ever need to re-install Scan Mailbox and delete the
  83.     contents of the temporary directory.
  84.  
  85. 5.  Start the Scan Mailbox program by clicking on the Start
  86.     button, then on Programs and finally on POP3 Scan Mailbox.
  87.  
  88. Please have a quick look at the Scan Mailbox User Guide before
  89. running the program for the first time.  To view the User Guide,
  90. load the file "manual.doc" into Word from the temporary
  91. directory before installing the program or from the Scan Mailbox
  92. directory after installing the program.   The User Guide can
  93. also be displayed from within Scan Mailbox by selecting 'Manual'
  94. the 'Help' menu.

  97. Microsoft's free Word viewer from:
