- DM4MATCH.DEM
-
- This is a 4-player demo on map DM4.
- This demo will only work with the REGISTERED version of Quake.
-
- Final scores:
- .---------------.
- | Q-Tip 50 |
- | King Dave 10 |
- | Chuffy 7 |
- | Champ 1 |
- `---------------'
-
- This demo was recorded from my point of view (Q-Tip). Luckily for me, I had
- very little resistance because all my competition was using keyboards.
- (However, Dave can be quite a menace on the keyboard.) Combine that with
- the tightly-packed layout of this map (DM4), and it's pretty easy for a
- mouser to prevail.
-
- But I didn't upload this demo just because it's any old deathmatch. There's
- some really great frags to watch (if I do say so). Good fun with the
- Quad-powered lightning gun, and one of my rockets sends a guy flying directly
- towards me. (that's 3D baby) It's about 10-15 minutes long.
-
- To play this demo:
-
- 1. Put it in the ID1 subdirectory of Quake
- 2. In Quake, bring down the console and type the command "playdemo dm4match"
-
- Some more info:
-
- - SV_MAXSPEED was set to 400, so we were all moving a bit more quickly.
- - SV_AIM was set to 1, which disabled auto-aim and probably gave the
- keyboarders a hard time. :)
- - We were using the Multiskin patch in this game. That's why there are
- messages on my screen like "SKIN: Captain Picard (9)". (Picard rocks)
- If you want the textures we were using to show up, run the Multiskin patch
- while you play the demo. You can get the Multiskin patch from
- ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/quake/quakec/misc/multi_11.zip
- Figure out for yourself how to use it.

-
- ...if you're interested in the setup I use, you'll find it explained there,
- with an .RC file you can download to try it out. I love it & recommend you
- check it out, especially if you've never used the mouse before.
