- $nakeEye's ScreenSaver Cracker v1.03
- November 2001
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- ⌐ Copyright Kristoffer Danielsson
- Windows 95/98/ME screensaver password viewer.
- Does not work on Windows NT/2000/XP.
-
- SS-CracKer is a nice screensaver cracking utility which has three main functions:
-
- * Decodes the screensaver password and shows it, if a password is set.
- * You can change the password directly from the program.
- * You can patch the password applet so all screensavers will accept ANY password!
- (I believe this patch is the first of its kind.) Read the disclaimer!
-
- DISCLAIMER:
- The patch that comes with this software has been tested on several systems.
- I can however, NOT guarantee that it will work. Neither can I guarantee that
- it will not damage your system. This means that you use the patch at
- your own risk! I take no responsibility for any loss of data or damaged system files,
- that might have been caused by this program. The chance for such a incident is however
- one in a million or less.
-
- If you run the patch and no longer want your password to be worthless, simply run
- it again and press "Recover!" instead of "Patch!" this time.
- That will restore your password routine. If it gives you an error message, the file
- has already been patched or there has been some other
-
-
- WHAT'S NEW in version 1.03?
- - Fixed the check routine so that it doesn't complain about Windows ME.
- When I wrote this program I didn't know that Windows ME has the same password
- routine as Windows 9x. Stupid bug!
- - Optimized some functions
- - Fixed some memory leaks
-
