  7. This is the Second beta release of the gkos
  8. Digital Destruction suite, it has somewhat
  9. limited function as of right now.  This
  10. is beta stuff and I plan to be releasing
  11. a new version every week to two weeks
  12. this is beta shit, I just want people to
  13. know I am still out there programming...
  14. I have been pretty busy, and I actually 
  15. have most of the coding done in this ver.
  16. *but* some of it is still in "testbed" 
  17. phase and requires a little bit of 
  18. fiddling around to not generate errors...
  19. SO I decided to turn those off and at 
  20. least let you guys play with a little bit
  21. of what I have done..
  22. now if you were not listening in, Carolyn
  23. Meinel (the lady who runs the "Happy 
  24. Hacker" mailing list) decided to do a 
  25. press release on what I am working on...
  26. seems she has some dude who has ties to
  27. the NSA who is interested in my work..
  28. this is part of the reason for disabling
  29. certain portions...  If I am going to get
  30. into trouble for something like a Denial
  31. of Service (DOS) program, I would prefer
  32. that at least the damn thing was coded
  33. well...

  38. is probably the worse example of what can
  39. happen to a once fine forum...
  40. if people actually would think about what they
  41. were spewing about it might be tolerable...
  42. all the *real* hackers left that crap way..
  43. way.. behind...
  44. but then *hacker* is a word about as specific
  45. as artist..   the definition has faded beyond
  46. recognition and lost all depth and just about
  47. become meaningless...  I have a shirt that says
  48. "Fuck art lets kill"...  and that is about how
  49. I feel about this crap in usenet...  anyway

  52. brilliant masterpiece of Poetic terrorism..  I
  53. think Jon Newton (OTRICS) is going to be
  54. writing up some fine articles about the whole
  55. fiasco...

  68.     There have been several rumors circulating about what happened to us since
  69. globalkos.org went down.  They range from us being busted by feds to
  70. stories about purple shrouds and phenobarbital.  There have also been
  71. rumors about dissention among our ranks and group infighting.

  73. Q:  What happened to globalkos.org?  Did the feds shut it down?  Did their
  74. ISP shut it   
  75. down?  Did they move their site to keep it hidden?
  76. A:  Half of us didn't feel like paying for it.  We weren't shut down,  nor
  77. is the site hidden out there somewhere.  We're looking into alternatives.

  80. A:  No.  He is working with the guys at Technophoria,  but he is still a
  81. part of Global kOS.

  84. A:  Somebody came up with this one on the basis of a broken link at
  85. globalkos.org.  ST 
  86. moved his site, and no one bothered to update the link.  Through some
  87. stretch of logic

  91. A:  It's slated for release on March 30th.
