  13. Welcome to the IBM demo version of OUT OF THIS WORLD, coming soon (or
  14. available now, depending on when you read this) for the IBM or
  15. compatible.
  16.  
  17. OUT OF THIS WORLD is a new style of computer gaming.  It incorporates
  18. state-of-the-art Polygon graphics with a cinematic flavor to give you
  19. the illusion that you are the star of a science-fiction movie!
  20.  
  21. OUT OF THIS WORLD is a action-adventure, combining the raw arcade feel
  22. of an action with the logic problems on an adventure.
  23.  
  24. This demo will give you the chance to view OUT OF THIS WORLD and get
  25. a feel of the game play.  You will only be able to play for a limited
  26. distance into the game (you can only get so far).  Enjoy!

  29. WHAT TO DO...

  31. To start, you will want to configure the demo to your specific
  32. computer setup.  Run the CONFIG.EXE program by typing
  33.

  36. from the DOS prompt.  Answer the on screen questions.  Once you
  37. configure the demo, you can start it by typing
  38.  
  39. OOTWDEMO<enter>

  41. from the DOS prompt.

  44. WHAT'S GOING ON HERE...
  45. -----------------------
  46. You are Lester, a scientist working late at night on a secret project.
  47. You are accidently sent OUT OF THIS WORLD when there is an accident.
  48. You must survive on an alien planet and escape BACK TO THIS WORLD!!!

  51. THE CONTROLS
  52. ------------
  53. The arrow keys, or the joystick, controls the movement of your guy.
  54. Press down on the arrow keys or the joystick to CROUCH.
  55. If you are moving left or right, and you press the space bar or the
  56. joystick button, you will run.
  57. If you are standing still, and you press the space bar or joystick
  58. button you will KICK.  You can also KICK from the crouch.
  59. Press the up arrow, or push up on the joystick to JUMP.
  60. The P key should PAUSE the game.
  61. Type ALT-X to quit the game at any time.
