  24. 1. Unpack the software distribution

  26.     a. open a "Bourne Shell" window
  27.     b. change directory to location of distribution, for example, C:\temp
  28.         cd C:\temp
  29.     c. gunzip the distribution:
  30.         gunzip TheApp.w.NT.bs.tar.gz
  31.     d. untar the resulting uncompressed file:
  32.         tar xvf TheApp.w.NT.bs.tar
