  12. OPENSTEP Version of Free Objective-C Object Kit Is Now Available
  13.  
  14. PROVO, UT, September 6, 1997 -- The next release of the OPENSTEP
  15. MiscKit has been made publically available.  The MiscKit may
  16. be obtained via http to the following site:

  20. The thoughtport.com ftp site is going away and the latest kit
  21. releases will only be avaialble via http during the interim.  We
  22. are sorry for the inconvenience and hope to have our new ftp site
  23. up and running soon.

  25. This is a minor update with only a few changes.  It is targeted for
  26. OPENSTEP 4.2, and most likely will not be buildable on an earlier
  27. system.  Be aware that all previous warnings about the OPENSTEP kits
  28. still apply to this version of the kit!

  40. Although the current state of the OPENSTEP kit, to quote Don, "is
  41. pathetic", Don is also quite confident that this kit will become
  42. useful very quickly once everyone has had a full opportunity to
  43. pitch in and help move it along.  New release frequencies while
  44. the OPENSTEP port continues are expected to happen every 2-3 weeks.
