  5. This is release 1.3 of the rtfdtohtml program, a command line tool for
  6. converting existing documents from the Rich Text Format to HTML. It supports
  7. both RTF and RTFD files created on NeXTSTEP or OPENSTEP systems.

  9. It is based on (and requires to run) the rtftohtml-filter by Chris Hector
  10. (cjh@cray.com). It also requires perl version 4 or 5.

  13. rtfdtohtml adds the following features to rtftohtml:
  14.  
  15.     o support for the complete NeXT-European character set
  16.     o different font sizes and colors
  17.     o conversion of inline images to GIF or PNG format
  18.     o links and markers
  19.     o HTML-3.2 tables
  20.  
  21. Read the manual pages and the file doc/Users-Guide for more information.

  23. The program has been tested on Linux, HP-UX, NeXTSTEP 3.3 and
  24. OPENSTEP (Mach), but it should run on almost any UNIX-like system.
