  7. This is an enhanced version of the CMU BOOTP server which was derived
  8. from the original BOOTP server created by Bill Croft at Stanford.
  9. This version merges all the enhancements and bug-fixes from the NetBSD,
  10. Columbia, and other versions.  Includes DHCP patch.  Compatible with
  11. NEXTSTEP 3.x and OpenStep for Mach 4.x.

  13. This version varies from NeXT's/Apple's supplied bootpd in a few very
  14. important ways:
  15. 1.  Does not use NetInfo, and only uses the flatfile config
  16.     /usr/local/etc/bootptab
  17. 2.  Includes DHCP patch, so it will serve DHCP requests.

  22. Regarding the versioning of this package, I tacked on a .2 to the
  23. version of this port to represent my second attempt at porting 
  24. bootp-DD2.4.3 to NEXTSTEP.
