  3. I downloaded the latest version of qpopper (2.4) in :

  6. and most likely will move to:

  10. The latest (freeware) version of qpopper can always be obtained from :
  11.     ftp://ftp.qualcomm.com/eudora/servers/unix/popper

  13. This version of qpopper has been compiled quad-fat (next/inter/hppa/sparc) using
  14. the GNU dbm library. In the qpopper directory I have included the libgdbm.a,
  15. which can be found in the qpopper.2.4.NIHS.bs/gnu directory. The GNU library
  16. is also compiled quad-fat (test/conversion programs included).

  18. To compile(if desired), install and configure qpopper read the files
  19. INSTALL and qpopper-NeXT.rtf in the qpopper.2.4.NIHS.bs directory.

  21. While qpopper is compiled quad-fat I have only tested it in my home machine
  22. next/motorola running NS3.3.
  23.  
  24. I have no idea if it compiles/runs on OpenStep.

  37. What is Qpopper?
  38. ----------------
  39. Qpopper supports the widely used POP3 protocol for downloading Internet
  40. e-mail used by many popular e-mail clients. Qopper does not include a
  41. message transfer agent or SMTP support and normally works with standard
  42. UNIX mail transfer agents such as sendmail or smail.

  45. Installing and documentation
  46. ----------------------------
  47. The file INSTALL gives detailed install instructions. If you want to get
  48. started quickly, usually you can type "configure" to generate the Makefile
  49. for your platform, and then type "make".

  51. Detailed documentation is available the doc directory. In particular the
  52. file doc/Release.Notes describes the changes from one version to the next.

  74. The Eudora Division of QUALCOMM has several e-mail products, some for free
  75. and others that are sold. These include the Eudora e-mail client for
  76. Windows and Macintosh, and the WorldMail server for Windows NT which
  77. implements the POP, IMAP, SMTP, LDAP and ph protocols.  You can find out
