  3. I supply this binary version of MakeIndex v2.9 and a detex, compiled for NeXT 
  4. Release 2.1 for using it with TeXmenu. I will not give any support, don't mail 
  5. me on any MakeIndex or detex problems.

  7. You'll find the following files folder MakeIndex:

  9.     ACK, CONTRIB, COPYING:    As obtained with the sources of makeindex.
  10.                 Read COPYING before using or supplying 
  11.                 makeindex. If you're interested in makeindex's
  12.                 sources: Available via anonymous ftp from 
  13.                      ymir.claremont.edu (134.173.4.23, VMS) in the
  14.                 directory [.tex.utilities.makeindex].
  15.      makeindex:        Executeable MakeIndex. Place it in 
  16.                 /usr/local/bin or wherever you like it.
  17.     makeindex.l:        Manualpage. Enter
  18.     
  19.                     # installman makeindex.l
  20.                 
  21.                 as root to install it properly.
  22.     makeindex.tex:        Documentation on MakeIndex.

  24. And in folder deTeX:

  26.     detex:            Executeable detex. Place it in
  27.                 /usr/local/bin or wherever you like it.
  28.     detex.n:        Manualpage.

  30. Versions 2.1 of TeXmenu and above (if ever) will support makeindex.
