WorldClock is a program which deals with time. It displays the time in different parts of the world, times the duration of specific events, and even supports alarms to generate reminders or perform specific actions. WorldClock also provides a flexible Time Stamp service which will quickly paste the current time into other applications.
About the demo...
This demo version of WorldClock will not save clocks or alarms when you quit the program. Even worse, about every 12 hours, WorldClock will automatically "forget" everything which you've entered. If you're interested in receiving a fully functional version of WorldClock, please contact us at the address below.
Right to copy...
You may freely copy and distribute WorldClock Demo provided that you do not change the program or its attached documentation and that you do not sell it.
Using WorldClock....
To keep track of the time in other parts of the world, select "New Clock" from the Tools menu. WorldClock will create a new clock window allowing you to set a time zone, title, and style for the clock. The method for choosing time zones is just like the NeXT "Preferences" application. After you've created a clock, miniaturize the window. By miniaturizing a row of clock windows you can see the current time in many parts of the world simultaneously.
To time running events, select "New Timer" from the Tools menu. Timers work like familiar kitchen or track timers. Any number of separate timers can be open and running simultaneously.
To create alarms open the "Alarms" panel using the the Tools menu. You can create alarms to place a reminder on the screen, send a Mail or Shout message, open specific files, or even run a shell command.
The WorldClock time stamp format is controlled via the Preferences panel. You can place a time stamp in any window which accepts text by selecting "Time Stamp" from the Services menu in any program. (Usually command-T will do it.)
WorldClock displays the current time in its application icon. If you double click on WorldClock's icon while the program is running, it will launch the NeXT "Preferences" application. This means that you can replace "Preferences" in your dock with WorldClock still be able to reach "Preferences" quickly.
