  1. HelpViewer - User Contributions
  2.  
  3. The User Contributions are an add-on to the commercial
  4. HelpViewer application. They've been initially introduced
  5. along with the submission of version 1.1 of HelpViewer.
  6.  
  7. The User Contributions contain, as the name suggests,
  8. contributions from the HelpViewer user community to
  9. enhancing or taking advantage of what can be done with
  10. HelpViewer, or, more generally speaking, to all possible
  11. aspects of handling the on-line help of an application
  12. in any practical way, whether it be on user level or on
  13. developer level.

  15. The User Contributions are considered FREEWARE and are
  16. supplied on an "AS IS" basis. For questions, bug reports
  17. or any other kind of suggestions, please direct these to
  18. the respective author of a contribution.

  22. These are the contributions contained in the introductory
  23. release of the HelpViewer User Contributions:
  24.  
  25. #1 – conditional help text (developer)
  26.  
  27. This contribution allows you to maintain a single copy of
  28. your help files, and then generate specific versions for
  29. on-line use and for a printed book, with some text appearing
  30. in the on-line help only, some in the book version only, and
  31. all other in both versions.

  36. #2 – multi-language 'make' in ProjectBuilder (developer)
  37.  
  38. This contribution allows you to 'make' more than one
  39. language version of your application in a single run in
  40. ProjectBuilder, without the need to switch back and forth
  41. between ProjectBuilder's 'Attributes' and "Builder' sections
  42. in order to set which language version to build.

  47. #3 – SplitMenu (developer)
  48.  
  49. This tiny utility (also available separately on ftp sites)
  50. produces single menu cell TIFF files from a given menu TIFF
  51. file. The menu cell TIFFs are to be used in the Reference
  52. section of an app's on-line help. Normally, this should be
  53. the task of the HelpBuilder tool, but all HelpBuilder versions
  54. I could get hold of produce insatisfactory results.
