- HelpViewer - User Contributions
-
- The User Contributions are an add-on to the commercial
- HelpViewer application. They've been initially introduced
- along with the submission of version 1.1 of HelpViewer.
-
- The User Contributions contain, as the name suggests,
- contributions from the HelpViewer user community to
- enhancing or taking advantage of what can be done with
- HelpViewer, or, more generally speaking, to all possible
- aspects of handling the on-line help of an application
- in any practical way, whether it be on user level or on
- developer level.
-
- The User Contributions are considered FREEWARE and are
- supplied on an "AS IS" basis. For questions, bug reports
- or any other kind of suggestions, please direct these to
- the respective author of a contribution.
-
- -----------------------------------------------------------
-
- These are the contributions contained in the introductory
- release of the HelpViewer User Contributions:
-
- #1 – conditional help text (developer)
-
- This contribution allows you to maintain a single copy of
- your help files, and then generate specific versions for
- on-line use and for a printed book, with some text appearing
- in the on-line help only, some in the book version only, and
- all other in both versions.
-
- Supplied by Lowell Schneider, Schema Research Corporation
- lowell@SchemaResearch.com
-
- #2 – multi-language 'make' in ProjectBuilder (developer)
-
- This contribution allows you to 'make' more than one
- language version of your application in a single run in
- ProjectBuilder, without the need to switch back and forth
- between ProjectBuilder's 'Attributes' and "Builder' sections
- in order to set which language version to build.
-
- Supplied by Stefan Schneider (myself)
- stefan@ping.at
-
- #3 – SplitMenu (developer)
-
- This tiny utility (also available separately on ftp sites)
- produces single menu cell TIFF files from a given menu TIFF
- file. The menu cell TIFFs are to be used in the Reference
- section of an app's on-line help. Normally, this should be
- the task of the HelpBuilder tool, but all HelpBuilder versions
- I could get hold of produce insatisfactory results.
-
- Supplied by Stefan Schneider (again, myself)
- stefan@ping.at
-
- -----------------------------------------------------------
-
- Anyone (no matter whether he/she is a registered user of
- HelpViewer or not) is heartily welcome to send contributions
- to me at <stefan@ping.at>. I will then include the new
- contributions in the next release of the User Contributions
- along with the submission of the next release of the
- HelpViewer application.
-
- Have fun,
-
- - Stefan
