This demo does not require a scanner to function. It will give you a full access to a simulated image that functions just like the full version with a scanner attached. This document is designed to give you an overview of ScanTastic’s main functions. It is not intended to replace the full documentation that comes with ScanTastic and does not touch on many of ScanTastic's more advanced functions.
ScanTastic is unique in that it exploits all the features of a given scanner to their fullest extent and even goes beyond many of the published hardware specs to add such features as single or multi-pass scanning for the best image quality and extremely high resolution depending on the model of scanner you purchase. This means super fine quality on line art scans and great enlargement potential on small items such as slides. It supports all the available options including the transparency adapter and the auto-document feeder for batch scanning. No other software available does this much with these scanners.
