- It's heeeere ...
-
- ... the NeXTSTEP version of the cdplayer program I posted
- recently. You will find many improvements over the command line
- version (one being that there is no longer a command line version).
- 8^)
-
- Make sure you read the LICENSING section in CDaudio's Help
- Panel and how you may obtain the source code of this program.
-
- NOTE:
- CDaudio and CDaudio.demo must be setuid-root to operate
- properly (i.e. to be able to read/write to the SCSI device). A panel
- will pop-up to remind you of this if you've failed to do so! Use the
- following command to make CDaudio setuid-root (first login or su to
- root):
- # /bin/chmod u+s CDaudio ; /etc/chown root CDaudio
-
- CDaudio.demo is a second generation version of CDaudio. I've
- included it here to show you where CDaudio is headed since I've made
- the program shareware and it's future depends on the response I get
- from this fact!
- The demo is disabled; only the interface works (partially).
- This was done on purpose for the same reason above. The release
- version will automatically find the CD-ROM drive(s) and allow
- maintaining a database of CDaudio discs which are identified
- automatically when they are inserted in the drive.
- This is the only version of these program you will see unless
- you register to CDaudio. Only registered users will be elligible to
- receive this and future versions of the player.
-
- 'Nuff said; go play with the program ... 8^)
