  3.     ... the NeXTSTEP version of the cdplayer program I posted  
  4. recently.  You will find many improvements over the command line  
  5. version (one being that there is no longer a command line version).

  8.     Make sure you read the LICENSING section in CDaudio's Help  
  9. Panel and how you may obtain the source code of this program.
  10.  
  11. NOTE:
  12.     CDaudio and CDaudio.demo must be setuid-root to operate  
  13. properly (i.e. to be able to read/write to the SCSI device).  A panel  
  14. will pop-up to remind you of this if you've failed to do so!  Use the  
  15. following command to make CDaudio setuid-root (first login or su to  
  16. root):
  17. # /bin/chmod u+s CDaudio ; /etc/chown root CDaudio
  18.  
  19.     CDaudio.demo is a second generation version of CDaudio.  I've  
  20. included it here to show you where CDaudio is headed since I've made  
  21. the program shareware and it's future depends on the response I get  
  22. from this fact!
  23.     The demo is disabled; only the interface works (partially).   
  24. This was done on purpose for the same reason above.  The release  
  25. version will automatically find the CD-ROM drive(s) and allow  
  26. maintaining a database of CDaudio discs which are identified  
  27. automatically when they are inserted in the drive.
  28.     This is the only version of these program you will see unless  
  29. you register to CDaudio.  Only registered users will be elligible to  
  30. receive this and future versions of the player.
