- This is Release 1.00 of BITart's GTools. GTools is a 'shell' application
- for modules called GTools (you wouldn't have guessed, would you?). It's main purpose is to make all the little helpers in the daily life of a NEXTSTEP
- user easily accessible from the dock, without wasting several dock slots or
- memory. The following GTools are available:
-
- - DefaultEditor.GTool
- This is a user friendly front-end for the NEXTSTEP default system.
- It helps you explore and modify defaults.
-
- - Eyes.GTool
- 'Eyes' are a simple GTool which displays 'Eyes' in the applications
- icon. Those eyes follow your mouse, and help you find it. It also
- shows you when there is new mail for you.
-
- - HexEditor.GTool
- With the HexEditor GTool you can view and modify any file in a
- combined Hex/ASCII view, and modify its contents.
-
- - MonsterShelf.GTool
- This is the 'MonsterShelf' application from Brian Pinkerton,
- converted into a GTool, with a few minor enhancements.
-
- - GKPlayer.GTool
- GKPlayer enables you to play audio CDs on your Toshiba CD-ROM. You
- can also mark sequences on the CD and save them to a .snd file.
- The supported formats are 44 kHz, 22 KHz, Stereo or Mono.
-
- - SCSIMonitor.GTool
- The SCSIMonitor GTool is a graphic front-end to a scsi device
- driver. It has great value in testing commands on peripherals
- prior to programing, and has lots of other usefull
- purposes. Since this GTool requires a close understanding of
- SCSI and the addressed devices, and could easily damage hard disks,
- data or other peripherals, this GTool will NOT be publicly
- available on the archives. If you are interested, please send
- a request by EMail.
-
- If you are interested in writing your own GTool, or converting an already
- working application into a GTool, request the GTool API by EMail.
