  3.     Archive maintainer:  This is the source for the latest version
  4.     of Gnuplot.app, 1.2.  It requires NeXTSTEP 3.0 or later and is
  5.     maintained by Robert Davis (davis@sonata.cc.purdue.edu).

  12. Welcome to the NeXTSTEP Front End for gnuplot, a general purpose
  13. graphing and plotting application capable of plotting mathematical
  14. expressions or data from a file, in 2 or 3 dimensions.  This
  15. application is entirely self-contained and requires no prior
  16. installation or knowledge of gnuplot.  Here's how much space you'll
  17. need:

  21.          13 KB    Workspace contents inspector (optional)
  22.            2193 KB    complete application source code (optional)

  24. This version supports more gnuplot features than previous versions and
  25. fixes many bugs.  It is also based on the latest version of gnuplot, 3.4.

  27. Gnuplot.app adds NeXTSTEP features to gnuplot, taking advantage of
  28. services, drag-n-drop, standard font and print panels, inspectors, and
  29. interactive help.  None of the original gnuplot source was changed for
  30. this app (aside from the minor changes of renaming main() and adding a
  31. custom terminal type), so the app can also be run from the command
  32. line just as you would run the original command-line gnuplot -- there
  33. is no need to install two versions of gnuplot.

  35. The file package should have unpacked into a folder called Gnuplot
  36. which contains the following:

  43. Samples        -- Some sample documents for the NeXTSTEP app

  45. WMInspector    -- The source code for the Gnuplot Workspace inspector.

  47. Unused        -- Many of the files distributed with gnuplot 3.4 are
  48.            not needed for building the NeXTSTEP app, but they
  49.            are included here for completeness.  Gnuplot
  50.            documentation and supporting files that do NOT
  51.            pertain directly to this app are here as well.
