were created by various members of the UPL - Undergraduate Programmers Lab of Madison, WI (upl@khan.cs.wisc.edu). The ray tracer was developed by Abe Megahed (verbose@khan.cs.wisc.edu. Each file was originally a TXT file of instructions on how to draw each picture in 3-dimensions. Many shading, drawing, and raytracing options are available. These pictures were raytraced on a ported alpha NeXT version of ART, which was done by Larry Smith (lawrence@khan.cs.wisc.edu). They were saved into a .RAW file format. Using the MIFF toolkit, Mark Spychalla (spy@khan.cs.wisc.edu) transformed the files into a MIFF file format and then on to a TIFF file format.
