  4. Program for submitting NoSD entries, Version 1.0:
  5.  
  6. NoSD (the NEXTSTEP and OpenStep Software Database) was initiated to
  7. overcome the deficit on reliable information about NEXTSTEP Software.
  8. NeXT itself does only supply information about commercial products,
  9. and their written broschures are rather outdated. On the other hand,
  10. new software is entering the market every day, some commercial, some
  11. public domain. NoSD is aimed at a total survey of "soft" products for
  12. NEXTSTEP which are, will be, or have been available for NEXTSTEP. So,
  13. if you have one of the following (or other) kind of software you would
  14. like to inform a broader audience about, NoSD is the place to go:
  15.  
  16. -programs 
  17. -mission critical projects which might find broader interest
  18. -patches to existing products
  19. -system extensions
  20. -fonts 
  21. -drivers 
  22. -tools
  23. -etc
  24.  
  25. New entries to NoSD can easily be submitted by using
  26. "The_NoSD_Submitter.app" or our WWW server available on
  27. http://peanuts.leo.org/nosd/
  28.  
  29. Of course, submissions and usage of the NoSD are free of charge!! This
  30. is a project run by fanatics!
  31.  
  32. NoSD will be available on floppy, by WWW (adress as above), in
  33. printed form, and via ftp.
  34.

  39. "background"     for a deeper insight into the concepts and plans behind NoSD
  40.  
  41. "entries"    for a current list of all described software

  43. "submitter"    for a manual of The_NoSD_Submitter, our program for preparing 
  44.         entries into the NoSD database (by e-mail of floppy). (.rtfd)
  45.  
  46. "categories"    for a recent list of codes for software categories (.rtf)
  47.  
  48. "guide"        list of frequent errors / guideline for formal checks (.rtf)
  49.  
  50. "thedead"    List of developers/companies which we could not contact 
  51.                 yet (.rtf). This file is intended as a list of hints to 
  52.                 volunteers who want to write descriptions for orphaned 
  53.                 software. We are also looking for any information concerning 
  54.                 the fait of these people.

  57. The_NoSD_Submitter can be copied via ftp from the ftp server of the
  58. university of Munich.
