  5. S3Link 1.0:

  7.     - connection to any PSION SIBO machine

  11. OCSoftware just released the 1.0 version of S3Link. The
  12. application controls the serial communication between any NEXTSTEP
  13. computer and PSION SIBO machines (as MC200, MC400, HC, Series3,
  14. Series3a or Workabout).
  15.  
  16. You must ensure a physical serial connection between PSION and desktop
  17. (eg using the PSION Serial Link for Series3/3a). S3Link then uses this
  18. connection to communicate with the Link process on SIBO machine, exactly
  19. same way as the supplied MS DOS 'MCLINK.EXE'.

  36. The application was released as soon as possible to allow testing
  37. on diverse configurations. It is the reason it lacks some features
  38. intended for the next versions. Mainly these are only cosmetic details
  39. (eg setting preferences using 'dwrite' command in Terminal), the
  40. most serious is the impossibility to transfer whole directories.

  44. The application is $40 shareware.

  46. For testers and localizers is the application naturally free.

  54. Download the S3Link.pkg.NIS.tar.gz.README file and check if the 1.0
  55. was already moved to the comm folder. If not (the README still for
  56. 1.0.1 beta), try the submissions folder. Then download the package
  57. in S3Link.pkg.NIS.tar.gz.
