  3. CB is an experimental program to attemp near real time voice communications
  4. between two NeXT computers using ethernet.  As of 27th Oct 93 I have no
  5. idea if this program will work on intel hardware.  That is one of the
  6. reasons I am releasing this version of the program.  I am hoping someone
  7. will download and test this program on intel hardware and then send some
  8. email telling the results.  So if you have some intel hardware with a sound
  9. card please consider sending me some info on how it works.

  11. Also if you can get the program to connect over the internet I would sure
  12. like to hear about that.  So far no one has been able to get the program to
  13. work over the internet for one reason or another.

  15. I have no way of testing this program between more than two people so if
  16. you are using more than two copies at one time I would like to hear about
  17. your experiences/problems.

  19. Some of CB's features:

  21. 1.    Share a pasteboard between users.
  22. 2.    Near real time voice communications.
  23. 3.    Send files to one or more users.
  24. 4.    Multi-user talk window ( Bulletin Board ).

  27. There are no real changes from this version other than the following:

  29. 1.  The program will only run under 3.1.
  30. 2.    CB is fat.
  31. 3.    Some bug fixes.
  32.         a.    Some connection problems resolved.
  33.         b.    Remote connection bug fix.
  34.         c.    General clean up of code.
  35. 4.    As requested by a number of users I have merged the Connections window and the Control window into one window.

  38. Anyway let me know if how you like the program.  There has already been
  39. some pretty cool uses of the program and I would sure like to hear of some
  40. more.
