  2. sp 1.1.1 (NeXT) README

  5. This is sp 1.1.1, the SGML parser, modified and compiled for NEXTSTEP 3.3pl1.
  6. Please note: you absolutely need gcc 2.7.2 and libg++ 2.7.2 installed to
  7. compile the sources; NeXT's outdated compiler won't work.
  8.  
  9. I can only provide the accompanying i386 binaries, since I don't have access
  10. to gcc 2.7.2 on m68k or HPPA. SPARC owners beware: I heard that gcc 2.7.2 won't
  11. compile properly on NS-3.3 SPARC. Bug NeXT for a working developer environment!

  13. The precompiled binaries have successfully passed the test suite; see
  14. the ./bin/ directory. Feel free to simply move them somewhere else.

  16. The only files that have been modified are:

  18.     • ./Makefile
  19.     • ./lib/PosixStorage.cxx
  20.     • ./lib/PosixStorage_NeXT.h (new file)
