  1. INSTALLATION:
  2.     These games are meant to be placed in /usr/games and owned by a user
  3. called 'games'.  Some of the programs are suid-games so that they may modify
  4. the score and level files.  The man pages (*.6) can be placed in /usr/man/man6.
  5.     To install the programs, create a new user called 'games'.  As root:

  7.     prompt# cd /usr
  8.     prompt# zcat games.tar.Z | tar -xvf -
  9.     prompt# chown -R games games
  10.     prompt# mv games/*.6 /usr/man/man6
  11.  
  12.     I actually have the files in /usr/local/games, with /usr/games as
  13. a link to this directory.

  15. SOURCE CODE:
  16.     All of the source code was taken off of the network and is freely
  17. available.  I can supply source code if anyone wants it.

  20.     hack -- nethack 3.0i, patchlevel 9.  An extensive text graphics
  21.         adventure game.
  22.     moria -- umoria 5.3.  Another text graphics adventure game.  This
  23.         is my personal favorite.
  24.     ogre -- a futuristic tank game.
  25.     rogue -- a clone of the classic.
  26.     urogue --  a better version of rogue, 'ultra rogue'.
  27.     xsol -- X solitare.  For those of you with x windows.
