  4. The objective of this program is to enhance understanding of slope 
  5. processes by examining variables controlling a specific type of mass 
  6. wasting--slumps.  To calculate the forces acting on a slope without 
  7. the aid of a computer program is a tedious, graphical  procedure.  The 
  8. ability to assess the influence of variables of slope processes (ie. 
  9. slope angle, slope height, strength, etc.) on slope stability is 
  10. strongly hindered by this tedium.  This program permits rapid 
  11. assessment of the effect of slope variables on slope stability as well 
  12. as providing a graphics display of the analysis.
