  1. COSY_PAK

  4. This is an unsupported release of COSY_PAK - a COntrol SYstems 
  5. analysis PAcKage for symbolic control systems analysis using 
  6. Mathematica 2.0 and higher. Classical control systems analysis 
  7. and design methods and some modern control systems methods 
  8. have been implemented in this package. 
  9.     
  10.     This package and the attendant notebooks were developed on a 
  11. NeXT (TM) computer (an UNIX based workstation). They have been 
  12. used as a supplementary teaching aid along with a standard control 
  13. engineering text (Ogata [1991]) for an undergraduate course in 
  14. `Control Engineering I' taught at the Systems Engineering Department 
  15. of CWRU. In addition to the NeXT, they have also been tested 
  16. successfully on Apple Macintosh computers (TM), and, IBM PC's 
  17. (TM) running MS Windows(TM). We would be very much interested 
  18. to hear from you if you or anybody you know use this software on 
  19. platforms not mentioned above. IBM users however will have to 
  20. evaluate the notebooks first to visualize the graphics.

  22.     Once installed (see below for instructions), this  collection  of  
  23. Mathematica  packages  can be loaded by any user. Bundled with the 
  24. packages are many notebooks ("COSY_Notes") which demonstrate  
  25. the functionality of these packages. The notebooks follow a plan of 
  26. many fine, standard, undergraduate Control Engineering text books 
  27. listed in the references. Examples used in these notebooks have 
  28. been collected from the various references given at the end of this 
  29. file.
