  4. gap-3.4.2.NIHS.bs.tar.gz contains a rather large Installer.app package which
  5. includes a quad-FAT gap binary, documentation, and source code.  After 
  6. packaging this, I discovered that v3.4.3 exists, so I'll have to get working
  7. on the newer version.  For now, enjoy this.

  11.     GAP  is  a  system  for computational  discrete  algebra,  which we  have
  12.     developed  with  particular  emphasis on  computational group theory, but             
  13.     which has already proved useful also in  other areas.  The name GAP is an         
  14.     acronym for *Groups, Algorithms, and Programming*.  This  (long) document       
  15.     announces the availability of GAP version 3 release 4, GAP 3.4 for short.
  16.     It is an *advertisement* for GAP, but not a *commercial*, since  we  give       
  17.     GAP away for free.
