  4. FDC-ESR 1.13 is a electron spin resonance spectrum simulation program 
  5. which is suited to first order isotropic spectra with constant 
  6. linewidths . The present version does not support mixture of radicals 
  7. and second order effects .

  9. The program is very fast:  on a 25 MHz NeXTStation, a stick spectrum 
  10. with more than 27000 lines can be calculated in 1 second !

  13. New features since version 1.01 (IBM PC, Atari ST) originally 
  14. distributed through Tetrahedron Computer Methodology are:

  16. * Gauss / cm ratio : change of the horizontal scale
  17. * Ease of editing coupling constants - plotting sequence
  18. * Up to 99 equivalent nuclei in one set.
  19. * Enhanced overflow management. 
  20. * Better postscript output.

  22. ** Oversampling : when plotting a complex ESR spectrum on a low 
  23. resolution graphic device (e.g. screen),  the plot may look 
  24. differently than on a high resolution device like a plotter or laser 
  25. printer.  To diminish this effect, FDC-ESR can calculate the spectrum 
  26. with a higher resolution internally and then reduce the resolution by 
  27. taking the mean heights of a selected number of points.

  30. A NeXT version is now available. It does not use the nice NeXTstep 
  31. user interface. However, spectra are displayed in a window.  A 
  32. NeXTStep Intel version will be available on request. A Sun version is 
  33. also planned.
