  5. How can you access the archive?  Via email to an archive server.
  6.  
  7.    If you need a file, send mail to dsp@ivucsb.sba.ca.us and list
  8.    the files you want on each line with "send " in front, i.e.,

  11. send HOWTO

  13.    If you need to get a file that is in a subdirectory, try something
  14.    like this:

  16. send analog/ellip.c

  18.    Some people have complained that some mailers are messing with
  19.    the mail on the way out.  Specifically, some mailers seem to
  20.    be taking lines that are longer than 79 characters and making
  21.    them into two lines and also converting tabs to 8 spaces.  To
  22.    combat this, I have added the "sendu" command.  This will
  23.    send you the file in the uuencoded format (you will need to be
  24.    able to execute the program "uudecode", which is available on
  25.    most UNIX systems and the source via ftp at uunet.uu.net).

  30.    The README file will always have the latest updates.
  31.    I will try to post it to the net when major changes are made.
  32.    Also, the date stamp of the README file is sent at the top of
  33.    each successful request and the date stamp of the HOWTO file is
  34.    sent at the top of each request failure.

  36.    Please try getting one file first.  If it makes it, then you
  37.    know the archive server can communicate with you.  I'd hate
  38.    to have the server send out tons of mail only to have most
  39.    of it bounce.

  41.    If you think files are not making it back to you, you may put
  42.    a Reply-To: field in the header.  This line MUST appear before
  43.    the send lines.  Please let me know if you have to do this.
  44.    I want to make sure that my address resolution is working
  45.    correctly.

  47.    Lines that don't begin with keywords will be ignored.
  48.    Trailing words will be ignored, also.  Make sure you don't
  49.    change case.

  53. Right now I am looking for program source that does standard processing
  54. tricks with audio (chorusing, flanging, echoing, pitch shift, etc.).
  55. Also looking for Dr. Bub downloads, if you have any.

  57. Try to put comments in your source saying where it came from so
  58. we can contact the original author for questions.

  61. you will just confuse the archive server).
