  6. Swapfile and Swapdisk FAQ Version 2.0

  8. This is an update to the Swapfile and Swapdisk FAQ.
  9.  
  10. This is primarily a "bug fix" of the document.  While there were no
  11. known errors in the previous version, I felt like some things could
  12. be explained better, expanded upon, etc.
  13.  
  14. The main purpose for this release is because it is now available in
  15. HTML format (http://www.nerc.com/~luomat/next/swapfaq.html).

  17. This release also comes in a few different formats:

  19. PS
  20. RTF
  21. ASCII
  22.  
  23.  
  24. This release is also available via email-autoresponder, in either
  25. ASCII, RTF, or PS format (note: if you are going to request
  26. the file be sent to you via ASCII, make sure you ONLY request the
  27. ASCII version.  I don't think the others would work.)

  29. The files are:

  31. swapfaq.ps
  32. swapfaq.rtf
  33. swapfaq.txt
  34.  
  35. the commands (to be used in the SUBJECT) are:

  37. send-ascii FILE
  38. (note: Again, this should only be used to request the FILE
  39. 'swapfaq.txt')
  40.  
  41. send-mime FILE
  42.  
  43. send-nextmail FILE
  44. (note: There may be a delay is responding to request for NeXTMail)
  45.  
  46. ie:
  47.  
  48. send-mime swapfaq.ps
  49.  
  50. would get the file 'swapfaq.ps' sent to you by return mail.
  51.  
  52. To find out more about the email auto-responder system, including
  53. other files which are available, request the FILE "info".
