  2.                 Welcome to the Peanuts NeXT archive!

  5. Our archive contains all sort of NeXT-related stuff. Currently there 
  6. are about 13000 files consuming over 2.7GB of diskspace. There are free 
  7. NEXTSTEP applications, unix programs, X11 programs, commercial demo 
  8. applications, tools for developers, collections of easily reusable 
  9. classes and code, documents, the NeXTAnswers directly from NeXT, a 
  10. collection of important mailing-lists, Newsletters from NeXT 
  11. usergroups, an archive of national and international Newsgroups from 
  12. 1989 up to now (updated on the fly from our newsystem), sounds, 
  13. images, movies and much more!! The filenames of all programs follow a 
  14. naming convention which makes it easy for you to get the program you 
  15. wish.

  17. Peanuts exists since 1990 and is now the biggest NeXT archive.
  18. We feed several FTP mirror sites and BBSs in Germany, in France, in
  19. Switzerland and in the US and can therefore offer you access to the
  20. archive via FTP, mailserver and UUCP. The files in the archive are
  21. updated every day with programs from over 10 major NeXT sites
  22. like next-ftp.peak.org (former ftp.cs.orst.edu).
