- THE BORLAND CHALLENGE:
- Borland International, Inc. is sponsoring a programming
- competition for Turbo Pascal for the Mac. From now until August
- 1, 1987, when you write an application in Turbo Pascal for the
- Mac, not only will you discover an easy-to-use and fast Pascal
- compiler, but you'll also have the change to win fantastic prizes
- such as: an Apple LaserWriter; a Macintosh Plus; a trip for two
- to Hawaii; or many others! We're challenging programmers and
- "hackers" to write their best program for BUSINESS PRODUCTIVITY,
- DESKTOP PUBLISHING, or ENTERTAINMENT using Turbo Pascal for the
- Mac. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges including
- editors from computer trade magazines. Programs will be judged
- on their technical quality, ease of use, and originality of
- design. And all you need to get "hacking" is a copy of Turbo
- Pascal for the Mac!

- A FEW GUIDELINES:
- : Prizes will be awarded for the best overall entries.
- Prizes are as follows:
- FIRST PRIZE - Apple LaserWriter
- SECOND PRIZE - Macintosh Plus
- THIRD PRIZE - One week trip for two to Hawaii
- (includes airfare and hotel).
- HONORABLE MENTION - (7) Choice of a Borland Macintosh
- software product, valid through 1987.
- : The application you enter must be your original work.
- : You must submit your application on disk and mail it to
- Borland. You may send in more than one application, but each
- application should be on a separate disk.
- : Documentation in writing must accompany your application.
- (A first time user ought to be able to use the
- application with the instructions you provide.)
- : Entries must be postmarked by August 1, 1987.
- : Winners will be announced in September 1987.
- : Winners will be required to provide Borland International
- with their social security numbers.
