  1. THE BORLAND CHALLENGE:
  2.      Borland  International,  Inc.  is  sponsoring a  programming
  3. competition for Turbo Pascal for the Mac.   From now until August
  4. 1,  1987,  when  you write an application in Turbo Pascal for the
  5. Mac,  not  only will you discover an easy-to-use and fast  Pascal
  6. compiler, but you'll also have the change to win fantastic prizes
  7. such as:   an Apple LaserWriter; a Macintosh Plus; a trip for two
  8. to  Hawaii;  or many others!   We're challenging programmers  and
  9. "hackers"  to write their best program for BUSINESS PRODUCTIVITY,
  10. DESKTOP PUBLISHING,  or ENTERTAINMENT using Turbo Pascal for  the
  11. Mac.   Entries  will  be reviewed by a panel of judges  including
  12. editors from computer trade magazines.   Programs will be  judged
  13. on  their  technical quality,  ease of use,  and  originality  of
  14. design.   And  all  you need to get "hacking" is a copy of  Turbo
  15. Pascal for the Mac!

  17. A FEW GUIDELINES:
  18.      :  Prizes  will  be awarded for the  best  overall  entries.
  19. Prizes are as follows:
  20.      FIRST PRIZE       - Apple LaserWriter
  21.      SECOND PRIZE      - Macintosh Plus
  22.      THIRD   PRIZE     - One  week  trip  for  two  to  Hawaii
  23.                          (includes airfare and hotel).
  24.      HONORABLE MENTION - (7)  Choice of a Borland Macintosh
  25.                          software product, valid through 1987.
  26.      :  The application you enter must be your original work.
  27.      :  You must submit your application on disk and mail it to
  28. Borland.   You  may send in more than one application,  but  each
  29. application should be on a separate disk.
  30.      :  Documentation in writing must accompany your application.
  31.         (A  first  time  user  ought  to  be  able  to  use   the
  32.         application with the instructions you provide.)
  33.      :  Entries must be postmarked by August 1, 1987.
  34.      :  Winners will be announced in September 1987.
  35.      :  Winners will be required to provide Borland International
  36.         with their social security numbers.

  44.      Signature  (Stating  that  the  entry  is  solely  your  own
