- CHANGES TO STATLIB DOCUMENTATION

- 1. Some of the letter keys used in the program have been changed
- to function keys. A legend describing the operation of these
- keys appears on every screen.

- 2. Make generous use of the HELP feature which is activated by
- pressing F1. The HELP feature is available at all points in
- the program and is intended to guide you through any problems
- you may encounter.

- 3. Some detailed operational changes follow:

- A. Page 12, last paragraph -- DATA INPUT PROGRAM
- The "submenu that describes some global commands used throughout
- the program" is not a menu but is the HELP Screen accessed
- by pressing F1 at the Main Menu.

- B. Page 13, second paragraph -- DEFINING VARIABLES
- There is no "option A to begin entering variable names." When you
- choose to create a file, the program automatically comes to
- this mode as soon as you indicate a filename and description.

- C. Page 13, fourth paragraph -- DEFINING VARIABLES
- "Option H to display the HELP Screen" should read "function
- key F1 to display the HELP Screen.

- D. Page 14, second full paragraph
- "If you want to change an entry, choose option R" should read, "If
- you want to change an entry press function key F4.

- E. Page 14, same paragraph
- The line "move on to the next case by choosing option N" is not
- necessary. After data has been entered for one case, that case is
- processed and the next case is automatically displayed for data entry.

- F. Page 14, third full paragraph
- The line "When you have finished entering data for all your cases
- choose option S..." should read "press function key F4."

- G. Page 15, SELECTING SUBSETS
- Selecting of subsets takes place in the STATLIB1.BAS program.
- Defining subsets takes place in the STEDIT.BAS program.

- H. Page 16, STATISTICAL ANALYSIS
- All statistical routines, frequency table, scatterplot, histogram,
- etc. are part of the STATLIB1.BAS program. To run this program,
- return to BASICA and type: Run "STATLIB1 [CR]. Additionally, there
- is no "option T" on the STATLIB1.BAS Main Menu. The choices are
- numeric.

- I. Page 17, EXITING
- To exit the data entry program (STEDIT.BAS), press "E" at the
- Main Menu. To exit the staqtistical routines program (STATLIB.BAS)
- press "9" at the Main Menu.
