  21. This is an utility for delete cookies for the most usual browsers.
  22. This program detects the cookies files for the four most common browsers
  23. (Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Netscape and Opera) and delete them with a
  24. simple click. The program have the option of preserve some cookies from
  25. deletion (only for IE). Useful for people who cares about his privacy
  26. without the need of disable the cookies feature (a lot of pages needs
  27. it to work properly).

  37. This program is freeware, but only for private use (not commercial).
  38. For commercial use or inclusion in distributions made for profit
  39. (CD's, ...) contact with the author for authorization. You can
  40. redistribute it for free, whenever you use the original package. If you

  48. 3. Installation
  49. ---------------

  51. The program is distributed in two formats:
  52.  
  53. Installer: Execute the .EXE file and follow the instructions of the
  54. install windows.
  55.  
  56. ZIP file: Simply extract the program's files to the directory where you
  57. want to install them, and make a shortcut to the executable file.

  60. 4. Usage notes
  61. --------------

  63. - If the program don't autodetect some browser and you have installed
  64.   it, select the appropriate folder and the program will search for
  65.   cookies files in it. To preserve the new folder for the future, press
  66.   the Save Configuration button.

  68. - If you have Opera installed but not Netscape, you will notice that
  69.   Opera is detected also as Netscape. This is because Opera identifies
  70.   himself as a Netscape browser too.

  72. - The Create Desktop Icon button creates a shortcut in your Desktop to
  73.   allow you delete the cookies files directly without show the main
  74.   window. The Create Start Menu Icon button creates a normal shortcut to
  75.   the program in the Start Menu.

  77. - If some browsers are detected, but no cookies files are found, it
  78.   probably means that the cookies had been deleted previously.
  79.  
  80. - The Internet Explorer Cookies folder may change for each Window user
  81.   (usually, Windows 9x/Me use a common folder and Windows NT/2000/XP use
  82.   a separate folder for each user). In that case, Cookie Monster only
  83.   delete cookies for the current user. On the other hand, the program
  84.   detect the cookies files for every user in Netscape and Mozilla (Opera
  85.   uses a single cookie file).

  87. - Due to the fact that Netscape, Mozilla and Opera use a single file
  88.   for all cookies, the Preserve Cookies option preserves all cookies
  89.   for each user in Netscape and Mozilla, and all the cookies in Opera.
