If you are using Windows 2000, ME or XP there are no additional requirements.
If you are using Windows 95, 98 or NT4 check that you have the following Windows components installed on your computer:
1. Windows Installer - This component provides safe and secure software install/uninstall. If you do not have Windows Installer, you can download it free of charge for Windows 95/98 at msdn.microsoft.com/msdn-files/027/001/455/instmsia.exe or get the Windows NT version from msdn.microsoft.com/msdn-files/027/001/456/instmsiw.exe.
2. MDAC (*Microsoft Data Access Components) version 2.5 - This component provides robust and secure database management services. Many computers have MDAC already installed. If you have Office 2000 you already have MDAC 2.5. You can download MDAC 2.5 free of charge from www.microsoft.com/data/download_25SP1.htm or you can find out more at www.microsoft.com/data.

*If you have an early version of Windows 95 or 98, you may receive a message while installing MDAC that you need to install DCOM. MDAC 2.5 requires Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM) version 1.3. You can download DCOM free of charge at www.microsoft.com/com/resources/downloads.asp. If you have a version of MDAC later than 2.5 you may need to download JET 4.0 from www.microsoft.com/data/download_Jet4SP3.htm, as it is not included with versions of MDAC later than 2.5.
