  9. -------- What is BrowserSizer? ---------------------------------------

  11. BrowserSizer is a low-fat, NOT in-your-face tool to help web
  12. developers check to see how their web pages look on screen resolutions
  13. of 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 and WebTV. It controls Internet Explorer
  14. or Netscape Navigator from an un-obtrusive, sit in your tray,
  15. application that provides an interface to resize either browser to the
  16. standard screen resolutions. Isn't it annoying to change your
  17. development machine's resolution just to test for people who haven't
  18. figured out that they can change THEIR screen resolution?
  19.  
  20. Major Features:
  21.  - Controls the window size of Internet Explorer (3,4,5,6+), Netscape
  22.     Navigator (2,3,4,6+), and Mozilla (New for v1.5).
  23.  - Provides accurate sizing of browser as would be when viewed
  24.     full-screen at selected resolutions.
  25.  - Provides options to account for size with Microsoft Windows
  26.     TaskBar and also Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar.
  27.  - Quick hide/show to/from system tray on tray icon double-click.
  28.  - Remembers options, last window position, and selected browser
  29.     on exit.
  30.  - Provides online update checking. (NEW for v1.1)
  31.  - Ability to Control all features while BrowserMaster is minimized
  32.     in the system tray.

  58. -------- Know Issues -------------------------------------------------

  60. * Netscape v6.0 and Mozilla open up a new window everytime you
  61.     request to browse to a BrowserMaster bookmark.  Waiting on
  62.     Mozilla.org to fix. Bug 59078 & 25699.
  63. * Re-sizing Netscape Navigator in quick succession can occasionally
  64.     cause BrowserMaster to crash.
  65. * Both browsers don't consistently pop to the front of the desktop
  66.     on resize attempt. (Mostly when BrowserMaster is hidden in
  67.     system tray)
  68. * BrowserMaster does not attach to an open Internet Explorer window
  69.     on resize attempt.
  70. * Netscape Navigator's position can get 'confused' when attempting
  71.     a resize while two windows are open to the same web page or
  72.     with the same title.

  96.             BrowserSizer.  The setups it created were too bloated.

  100. v1.02   - Fixed resizing browsers for WebTV mode when sizing from the
  101.             system tray.  Now it does not take into account 95/NT
  102.             TaskBar or Office Bar when calculating size as Web TV does
  103.             not have either of these.

  106.             some versions of Internet Explorer v4.0 where
  107.             BrowserSizer would report an exception on browser
  108.             resize.

  110. v1.0    - Fixed (Really this time) Windows inability to shutdown
  111.             properly while BrowserSizer is running.
  112.         - Fixed positioning of Netscape browser on resize.  Now it
  113.             stays in its current position.
  114.         - Fixed problems resizing Netscape Navigator when the window
  115.             contains frames.
  116.         - Fixed inability to control Netscape Navigator browser
  117.             after closing originally controlled window and having a
  118.             second window open.
  119.         - Fixed StartMenu shortcut to BrowserSizer Help page.
  120.         - Finally made all browser sizes correct.

  122.         - Added "Always On Top" option.
  123.         - Added new browser resolution, 560x380, for Web TV and/or
  124.             old Mac development. (Task & Office Bar selections have
  125.             no effect on browser size)
