- An overview of chess events in the period 1843-1950. Originally it was
- a database file, now it is an ASCII delimited file.
-
- Some remarks:
- 1. The number of games is the number of games from the event in a large
- database. In some cases this number indicates how hopefull (or hopeless) is
- to complete all games from the event.
- 2. In the field "1st" there is also the number of points the winner exceeded
- and the number of games he played e.g. 11/14 means 11 points from 14. In
- the next fields there is only the number of points. In the case of matches
- in the field "3rd" is the result of the match.
- 3. Unfortunately I do not know all details. There are some blank fields and
- maybe also some mistakes.
- 4. The field "kind" means the kind of the events, I used standard abbrevia-
- tions, "p" is for local tournaments in URS.
