  7. OVERVIEW
  8.  
  9.   K-Chess for Windows is a simple, informative and enjoyable Chess
  10.   program.
  11.   
  12.   K-Chess actually lets you see what it is doing, and so helps you to
  13.   learn to play better.  The computer will help you in several ways,
  14.   such as showing where a piece can move, what pieces are threatening
  15.   a particular square, and even play your move for you.  Best lines
  16.   of attack are displayed for both players for several moves ahead.
  17.   Multi level undo and redo is also available so that moves may be
  18.   reviewed and/or replayed at any time, right back to the start of
  19.   the game.

  21.   The game can be played between two players, one player and the
  22.   computer, or the computer against itself in Auto Play mode.  There
  23.   is full keyboard and mouse control, and help.  Games may be printed,
  24.   and also saved to disk and reloaded at any time.

  26.   The game is customisable, allowing various restrictions on playing
  27.   time by game or by move, and tailoring of different hinting levels.

  30. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  32.   K-Chess for Windows runs on any Personal Computer running Windows
  33.   3.1 or higher.

  36. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
  37.  
  38.   K-Chess for Windows must be installed onto a hard disk or floppy
  39.   disk with at least 500KB free space.
  40.  
  41.   1. Put the Installation Disk in drive A: or B:.

  43.   2. From Windows Program Manager select Run from the File menu.
  44.      
  45.   3. Enter "a:setup" or "b:setup" as appropriate.

  47.   4. Press Enter to begin installation.  When requested, enter the drive
  48.      and/or directory to install the program to, or just press <Enter>
  49.      to accept the default.

  51.   Note:  K-Chess is installed by K-Install for Windows, also available as
  52.   a separate product from ARK ANGLES.  K-Install has an extensive range of
  53.   powerful features for software developers and publishers, and is very
