- Hello!
-
- For the quickest start:
- type Diep1.exe followed by Enter and see for yourself.
-
- For a quickstart:
- Using a mouse: Press a mousebutton on the field where
- you want to have a piece ( left or right ) and keep this button down,
- down. If Diep didn't move the right piece to the field, then press
- the other button ( left or right ) and release it, release the button.
- If you don't want to takeback or still want to move another piece to
- the field, then press the other button again until a position is reached
- that you like...
-
- Another thing that is hard to discover is
- setting up a position.
- '1' for a pawn,
- '2' for a knight, etc.
- pressing twice '1' for a black piece.
- pressing 'c' once for black to move.
- press 'enter' to quit.
-
- Also nice is the script parser (or the name you want to give it,
- scriptcompiler?): go in the pull-down menu in Diep to
- the item 'Execute Script'. Then write down 'script.txt',
- as soon as Diep is begging for a name, and see for yourself
- whether you like this advanced feature.
- After parsing the script file, press Escape and then 'k' to stop.
-
- Hashtables are standard off, they're to 'buggy'.
-
- Hope you enjoy it!
-
- Vincent Diepeveen.
