  20. This TRIAL VERSION includes Norton Ghost 5.1c and several other
  21. associated utilities, the Ghost Multicast Server, Ghost Walker, 
  22. Ghost Explorer, and GDISK.
  23.  
  24. Norton Ghost
  25. ============
  26. Norton Ghost (ghostevl.exe) is the main application that provides
  27. disk and partition cloning abilities. Possible uses of Norton Ghost 
  28. include hard disk drive upgrades, back up and recovery of entire hard 
  29. disk drives and individual partitions, or the roll out of numerous 
  30. machines of similar configuration. Further information on Norton Ghost
  31. and its use is included in the Norton Ghost User's Guide and the online
  32. documentation text files included in the "GHOST" directory.

  34. Other Utilities
  35. ===============

  37. Ghost Multicast Server
  38. ======================
  39. The Ghost Multicast Server is available for several platforms. In
  40. combination with Norton Ghost, the Ghost Multicast Server enables 
  41. multiple machines to be cloned simultaneously using a single 
  42. efficient stream of information sent over a computer network.
  43. Further information on Norton Ghost and its use is included in the 
  44. Norton Ghost User's Guide and the online documentation text files 
  45. included in the "MCAST" directory.

  47. Ghost Walker
  48. ============
  49. Ghost Walker (GWEVAL.EXE) is a Security Identifer (SID) update 
  50. utility that assigns a new statisitically unique SID to an 
  51. Windows NT workstation and updates the NT volume with the new 
  52. SID. Further information is included in the online documentation 
  53. text file located in the "WALKER" directory.

  55. Ghost Explorer
  56. ==============
  57. Ghost Explorer is a Windows 9x or NT program, looking similar to 
  58. Windows Explorer, which can open a GHOST image file and restore 
  59. and delete individual files or entire directory structures from it.
  60. It can also launch Norton Ghost in batch mode to create an image 
  61. file, using Windows dialog boxes to prompt for the disk and 
  62. partition to dump. Further information is included in the
  63. Windows online help file installed during installation, and the 
  64. online documentation text file included in the "EXPLORER" directory.

  66. GDISK
  67. =====
  68. GDISK is a fixed disk partioning utility, and is intended as a 
  69. complete replacement for the DOS/Windows 9x FDISK utility. 
  70. GDISK includes all FDISK functionality along with several additional
  71. enhancements and features like on-the-fly-formatting and improved 
  72. performance. GDISK is command line driven, unlike FDISK which uses 
  73. interactive menus and prompts. Further information is included in

  75. "GDISK" directory.
