  1. Installation of search engine
  2.  
  3. To install the search engine, firstly run the setup program located in the 
  4. \search\setup.exe directory, by double clicking on the file in Windows Explorer 
  5. or File Manager. This will install the file isysidp.exe to your hard drive.

  7. Please select the 'Install to:' directory to c:\apcsrch.
  8.  
  9. Then you should be able to search the CD, by clicking on the search link.

  11. If you are still unable to search the CD, you may need to manually configure your 
  12. browser for the search facility.

  14. To do this follow these steps.

  17. For Netscape Navigator 4.0+:
  18. 1. From the Menu select Edit...Preferences
  19. 2. Select Applications in the category menu
  20. 3. Select New Type
  21. 4. Fill in the box as follows
  22.     "Description of type:" = ISYSIDP File
  23.     "File extension:" = iip
  24.     "MIME Type:" = ISYS/IntraDisk
  25.     "Application to use:" = c:\apcsrch\isysidp.exe
  26.         (replace \apcsrch with the directory you saved the isysidp.exe file into)

  29. For Netscape Navigator 3.0+:
  30. 1. From the Menu select Options...General Preferences
  31. 2. Select the Helpers tab
  32. 3. Click on file type 'ISYS/IntraDisk'  (Note: MIME type: ISYS, MIME Subtype: IntraDisk)
  33. 4. Make sure the 'File extensions' is iip
  34. 5. Select 'Launch the Application' and select the directory as "c:\apcsrch\isysidp.exe"
  35.         (replace \apcsrch with the directory you saved the isysidp.exe file into)
