  12. THIS DISC ALSO CONTAINS A PRE-RELEASE VERSION OF HYPERCARD 2.0 
  13. WHICH SHOULD BE USED ONLY WITH THESE STACKS.

  15. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO USE THESE PRE-RELEASE STACKS WITH ANY 
  16. OTHER VERSION OF HYPERCARD 2.0; ALSO, DO NOT USE THIS 
  17. VERSION OF HYPERCARD 2.0 WITH ANY OTHER HYPERCARD STACKS.

  20.         SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
  21.  
  22. There are two versions of each of the new product training stacks on this disc.  The versions labled with the suffix "COLOR" may be used with any Macintosh which has at least 2.5 MB or RAM and a color monitor.

  24. If you have a Macintosh Plus, SE or SE/30, a Macintosh with less than 2.5 MB RAM, or a monochrome monitor, please be sure to use the stacks with the suffix "BW" .

  26. The BW stack versions will operate in a Macintosh with as little as 1MB RAM, but only if the System file contains the minimum font set and the system folder contains only the standard set of Control Panel Deviced (CDEVs:  ie; Mouse, Monitors, Key Caps, etc.)

  30.         To use the materials on this CD-ROM:

  32. You first must copy several files onto your system's hard disk drive.  These 
  33. are located in the COPY ME folder at the top of the CD-ROM's desktop window. 
  34.  
  35. Open this folder and transfer the contents to your hard disk.  Be sure to 
  36. remember where on your disk you have placed the file   ATS PREFS 10.90 
  37. as you will be asked for its location when you start or quit from a training 
  38. stack.
  39.  
  40. The ATS PREFS 10.90 file keeps track of your user name and other pertinent 
  41. informarion, such as: which stacks you have completed; which stacks you 
  42. have partially completed; and your individual self-paced evaluation scores.
  43.  
  44. Be sure to run the START ME FIRST and the HOW TO USE THIS CD-ROM stacks 
  45. before you open any of the training stacks.  These contain information you 
  46. must know in order to use this CD-ROM and help you set up your preference 
  47. files.

  50.        To move from stack to stack:
  51.  
  52. 1)   Click the RETURN arrow button until you return to the STACK MAP.    
  53. 2)   From there, click on the HOME button at the bottom of the card.
  54. 3)   Select the next stack you wish to use from the HOME card.

  57.        The ARCHIVES:
  58.  
  59. An ARCHIVES folder appears on the desktop.  This folder contains the 
  60. HyperCard stacks for many of the Apple CPU and peripheral products 
  61. released since 1988.  Most of these stacks have been converted to run 
  62. under HyperCard 2.0.  
  63.  
  64. Within this folder, however, there is an additional folder named 
  65. OTHER ARCHIVES.  The stacks within this folder are not converted 
  66. to 2.0 and should currently be run only using HyperCard 1.2.5.

  69.         The EVALUATION SURVEY:
  70.  
  71. After you complete each of the new training stacks, please take a few 
  72. minutes to fill out the EVALUATIOON SURVEY questionaire.  Then, print 
  73. it out and send it back to us.

  75. Just fold the printouts in half, staple at the bottom, fill in your return 
  76. address and place one First Calss stamp in the corner.
