  1.        Converted from the type three Macintosh font using 
  2. Corel Draw's WFNBoss, Zsoft's SoftType, and Wrefont (to 
  3. generate the .AFM) -- July 30, 1991. I've included (besides 
  4. the converted fonts) the author's original note, and the 
  5. Fontographer file. I've got no idea how and if Altsys is 
  6. going to inplent Mac -> PC transfer of Fontographer files. 
  7. The Fontographer file is the one with the .FOG extension. It 
  8. hasn't been translated in any way, and includes a MacBinary 
  9. header.

  14.        Update, August 19, 1991: I've managed to wring the 
  15. font through auto-hinting software without having the 
  16. winding problem on the `d' raise its dark head. While I was 
  17. at it I took another look at the documantation, and saw that 
  18. the author recommended obliqueing the font. I tried it, and 
  19. sure enough, it's even prettier than the original (which was 
  20. pretty darn nice, IMO). Since most of you don't have the 
  21. software to allow you to do this, I've gone ahead and 
  22. included an obliqued version in the archive -- it should 
  23. show up in Windows as MacHumaine-Italic.
