  1. Notes on Printers Devil fonts:
  2. Printers Devil fonts include: Bodidly Bold, Oswald Black, Oswald Grey,
  3. BlackForest, InkaBod, and CartWright
  4.  
  5. These fonts are NOT crippled. They contain all the regular alphanumeric
  6. characters. Most contain an assortment of special characters. Fonts contain
  7. hinting; usually over one hundred kerning pairs are defined. AFM files are
  8. included. Bodidly Bold, Oswald Black, Blackforest, and Inkabod are type 1
  9. PostScript fonts and may also be used with ATM on non-PostScript printers.
  10. Oswald Grey , a type 3 font, may only be used on PostScript printers. It has
  11. an 80% grey fill with a black border.

  13. Bodidly Bold and Oswald Black look great in small or large sizes. I'd recommend
  14. using Oswald Grey at 24 points or larger.

  16. BlackForest and Inkabod are designed without any curves. With one or two
  17. exceptions all angles are multiples of 45 degrees. BlackForest has an old
  18. world German feel. It seems to look best about 24 points. InkaBod is based on
  19. the bitmapped font Nordic. On the LaserWriter it looks great at 14 points and
  20. above. On the ImageWriter, try it at 18 points and larger.

  22. CartWright is inspired by the Adobe wood type Ponderosa font. It contains only
  23. the basic 90+ characters.

  25. The bitmap screenfonts are just your basic Fontographer-generated characters
  26. with minimal touchup. With ATM on the market I'd rather spend my time polishing
  27. up the PostScript file than slaving over an archaic bitmap screenfont.

  29. Printers Devil fonts are distributed in the spirit of shareware. Try them out
  30. for a month. If you decide to keep any of these fonts you are required to send
  31. a $10 per font registration fee to:

  35. Please indicate what font(s) you are registering. Maryland residents should
  36. include 5% sales tax.

  38. These products may be distributed freely as long as the following conditions
  39. are met: The files may not be modified and this notice must be included with
  40. each font or group of Printer Devil fonts; Fonts may be included on collections
  41. of Public Domain and Shareware disks providing that no more than $10 is
  42. charged for the disk.

  44. The Bottom Line: We will continue to release laser fonts in a non-crippled
  45. format as long as there is a fair response to the registration fee.
