  4. I doubt that I should call this beta, it is still more like
  5. alpha version....well who cares.

  7. This file MUST NOT BE spreaded to anyone. The only place to get this 
  8. archive is from DASDg's Home Page http://www.sci.fi/~pporkka/Welcome.html 
  9. and if you have received this file from somewhere else please contact
  10. your system operator and ask him to remove this archive.

  12. If this version spreads to public BBS's, ftp sites or to someone elses
  13. homepage I *will* *stop* distributing these beta versions for public use.

  19.     List files are no longer backward compatible, so if you wish to
  20.     ensure that you can still use the old version, make a backup
  21.     copy of your ENV:dasmp/ drawer and your list files.

  54.     Delete the old dasmp.extlib file.

  56.     dasMOD.library replaces das68CH and dasFAST libraries
  57.     in your epl/ directory, so please delete them.

  62.     I also suggest that you remove your dasmp.catalog. The old catalog
  63.     file is not usable with this version.

  68.     If you are not sure how to do things mentioned above please
  69.     use the old 3.5b version for the time being and wait for the 
  70.     actual release of 4.0.

  74. NEW THINGS since alpha 2:
  75.  
  76.     EPLs have now one common 'Sound settings' which will be used in
  77.     final version to set user settings for all EPLs requiring
  78.     configurations. So far only provided S3M and MOD (4 to 32 channel
  79.     MOD format files) EPLs supports this. These two libraries also
  80.     support AHI (!!!) so you can now listen S3M and 4 to 32 channel MODs
  81.     through AHI interface (controls in 'sound settings' in EPL 
  82.     configuration window) using for example Delfina 16 bit sound card.
  83.  
  84.     XM and MTM EPLs with the above support will be also available in 4.0
  85.     and hopefully OCSS in 4.1. Other possibilities include ImpulseTracker
  86.     support for 4.1 (remote possibility though).

  88.     Search/Selector system has some new search options in it.

  90.     Lots of bugs removed
  91.  
  92.     'Clipboard' works.

  94.     Author system is now finalised on most parts. The importing
  95.     to other peoples Amigas as 'external author file' is not yet
  96.     finalised (I doubt that it will be for the 4.0, instead I'll
  97.     try to make it for the 4.1 along with other missing things)

  99.     Changed the list file format slightly (again). DASMP makes
  100.     conversion from older list files to newer and bigger files may 
  101.     take a few more seconds to load.

  103.     Menus have been changed quite a bit.

  106. KNOWN BUGS:
  107.  
  108.     I haven't touched the arexx interface so far, so most of the
  109.     arexx commands may crash your Amiga, be warned!
  110.  
  111.     IOL thingy doesn't actually do anything right now, so don't try
  112.     to do anything with it.
  113.  
  114.     Enforcer hits while opening new list window ('new' or 'load'),
  115.     some byte reads from low memory areas are generated. I'll fix
  116.     it immediately after I find the particular MUI object which
  117.     is being created while this happens (note: the problem is with DASMP
  118.     not with MUI).

  120.     Drag&Drop doesn't work right now.

  122.     Showlist entry in menus doesn't affect anything at this beta. I am
  123.     considering expanding it a little to include showing only selected
  124.     entries, how does this sound, does anyone need it?
