MAIN MENU HELP
You may select any of the items on the "Available Options" menu by highlighting the option, then pressing the SELECT key.
CHANGE SERVER
This option allows you to view the volume information on any server you can gain access to on the internetwork.
NEXT & PREVIOUS PAGE
Since VOLINFO can display information for up to 8 volumes at once, these options will only be of use when a server has more than 8 volumes. A server with 32 volumes would display "Page 1 of 4" in the top left corner of the VOLINFO display.
While you are in help, you may use the PAGEUP and PAGEDOWN keys to view other help pages.

MAIN MENU HELP
UPDATE INTERVAL
VOLINFO displays volume statistics reports periodically, according to the update interval. The update interval can be from 1 to 3600 seconds. This option allows you to increase or decrease that interval.
VOLINFO DISPLAY HELP
Kilobytes: The total volume capacity and the amount of free or unused disk space on the volume. You can determine the number of kilobytes being used by subtracting the figures in the "Free" area from the "Total" area. Note that 1000 kilobytes is equal to 1 megabyte.
Directories: The number of directory entries allocated for the volume, and the number of entries that are unused. A directory entry is used for each file, subdirectory, and trustee list on the volume.

VOLINFO DISPLAY HELP
Up & Down Arrows: When the value of "Kilobytes" or "Directories" changes, an arrow will appear to reflect the change.
Blinking Numbers: The values displayed under the "Free" column will blink if they have reached a minimum level. "Kilobytes" will blink if the number of free kilobytes is less than or equal to whichever of the following two values is lower: 10 percent of the total number of kilobytes; or one megabyte. "Directories" will blink if the number of free directories is less than or equal to 20 directories.
Removable Volumes: If a volume mounted on the network is removable, an "[R]" will appear next to the volume name. The volume name will disappear and then reappear as the volume is mounted and unmounted.

UPDATE INTERVAL HELP
You have the option of changing how frequently VOLINFO will report network volume statistics. The default interval is 5 seconds.
Short intervals will increase the workload for the file server. Longer intervals will not be as accurate.
