- MOVIEGUIDE Pro V1.1 release info
- ================================
-
- This is MovieGuide Pro release 1.1, release date 27-Apr-1995.
- A number of bugs were found in 1.02, and a couple of new features
- has been added in this version.
-
-
- New features
- ============
-
- * A rather neat new feature has been added. It enables you to list a
- filmography on your search string. To do this, you should choose
- ALL as searchflag, using the 'roll-button menu' (its default is
- DK TITLE). Instead of the movies' genres, the window containing
- the titles found on the current search string, there'll now be listed
- the person's participation(s) in the movie, e.g. searching on Steven
- Spielberg under Sci-Fi, will give you (among others):
- 1977 CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND DIRECTOR/WRITER
-
- * A KEEP button has been added, so you can search several times, keeping
- the titles that you've found on your previous search(es).
-
- * Proper printout type has been added. E.g., if title-list was generated
- using RECOMMENDED, it'll state so, in the printout. The new ALL-feature
- results in a 'Filmography on [name]' output.
-
-
- Bugfixes:
- =========
-
- - In NOVICE MODE, clicking with the right mouse button on names on
- the extended credits screen, didn't work; the name wouldn't be moved
- to the search-string, and the searchflag wasn't set.
-
- - There was an error in the search-routines, so if you searched on
- any of the extended credits (composer, editor etc), it wouldn't look
- in the EUROPE file!
-
- - Minor bug in the 'roll-button' fixed.
-
- - GUI bug in NOVICE MODE when clicking right mouse button on a director
- or a cast member, when the current search-flag was set to one of the
- extended credits. The same applies to EXPERT MODE, only it's the left
- mouse button instead!
-
- - A bug resulting in some TOPICS only searching through the ticked on
- genres/countries has been corrected - now TOPICS ignores your settings.
-
- - The production company Metro-Goldwyn-Meyer was corrected to Metro-
- Goldwyn-Mayer!;-)
-
- - An error in the topic-window, causing an old topic-description to
- still be there, when viewing another title, has been fixed.
-
-
- Known bugs:
- The graphic/browser bug is still there, and apparently a bug where
- the program suddenly quits, after using topics in some way, exists!
- Thanks to Tomas Larsson for finding that one! I've seen it myself,
- but have not been able to make the program do it again, and therefore
- I can't fix it yet! Of course, it'll be corrected when I know when and
- why it occurs.
- Also notice that we haven't updated the INTRO to saying MOVIEGUIDE
- PRO V1.1, as it really isn't that important to update that on every
- release!
-
-
- Kindest Regards,
- Simon Ravn
