  8. Localization of TurboCalc
  9. =========================

  11. TurboCalc 3.0 uses locale.library to get the texts of the current
  12. language (both for requesters and menus).
  13. This information is stored in TurboCalc.catalog and TurboCalcMenu.catalog
  14. in the drawer of the currently selected language.
  15.  
  16. This way it is really easy to translate TurboCalc to new languages
  17. (besides the two 'default' languages English and German (Deutsch)).
  18.  
  19. So if you are familiar to one of the above mentioned language and to
  20. another one and you want to translate the texts to that language,
  21. please feel free to do so.
  22.  
  23. You may distribute and release these new text files (without my
  24. written permission), as long as
  25. * they reflect the correct sense (i.e. do not confuse users by
  26.   curious texts!)
  27. * you distribute it for free (or max. a small fee)
  28. * you send me a copy of these texts (either allowing me to
  29.   distribute it or only for my private use)
  30. * you only distribute your file, none of the files from the
  31.   TurboCalc-diskette
  32.  
  33. Otherwise you need my written permission to release a translation
  34. of the TurboCalc-texts.

  36. Hint: If you want to translate the texts, simply contact me.
  37. * Thus I can tell you if the texts are already translated in that
  38.   language and where you can get that files.
  39. * I can send you the texts from the latest version (in a special
  40.   form). This way you do not have to redo your work for the
  41.   next version(s) and it is really easier to create the files.
  42. * I can give you some hints and advises concerning the texts.
  43. * I can give other uses a chance to get your localized texts (if you
  44.   agree) - your name will be put in the about-requester and in
  45.   the next version of the user manual.
