  56. is an independent country, but has close ties with Britain.

  122. of Canada was originally settled by the English,
  123. French settlers formed Quebec, and the language
  124. has prevailed. Quebec forms almost a third of
  125. Canada's population of 25 million, and has a
  126. large influence on the nation's culture.
